Volunteerism
We take pride in helping people around the world or right around the corner. Last year, our associates donated time to several local causes like the Salvation Army's Angel Tree program, where we had the opportunity to not only collect toys and books for underprivileged children, but also to assist with the sorting and distribution of the packages to the families. We also put some sweat hours into home improvements through the Elder Homes program for needy families without the means or ability to take care of much needed repairs on their own.
Allianz Global Assistance associates also have the opportunity to volunteer their time and efforts right here in our offices. We've assembled bags of essentials for the homeless at Freedom House in Richmond, VA, and for International Hospital for Children families who travel hundreds of miles to bring their children for life-saving surgeries.
We've not only collected items like canned goods, books and even jeans to donate to worthy causes, but we take it a step further by delivering and even sorting and stocking the items to further assist non-profits that don't have the benefit of paid employees to do those tasks.
At Allianz Global Assistance, we're not happy just talking about helping. We like to get our hands dirty too!
